Bernard Kalume Buleri is from the most mineral rich country of the world
The Democratic Republic of Congo
And the most poor country of the planet .
He born the same year the country got its independence from their enslaver ,the Belgium .
The Belgium give them with independence ,but never forgot to keep the country always wrecked with internal strife and ready for their exploitation .They first aided the killing of the elected leader of the new born republic , Patrice Lumumba,the son of the soil socialist and fiercely anti colonial Africanist and hoisted their own blood thirsty african ,Mobutu Seso Seko.
The new president never hide the glee to loot with the help of the high human rights talking Westerners and the Europeans .
He allowed the whole lot of white merceneries to loot the country of its minerals and diamonds with their own private army and took a cut on every thing the country was getting siphoned off .
He pretended to work for the country and its people pretended to live happily and the civil servants also followed suit in the pretention
They pretended to work .
While Mobutu took money from the whites ,the civil servants took money from their own poor brethren .
The country was into the vortex of corruption and civil war .
Bernard Buleri went to look for safety and work and emigrated to the Rwanda .
He started a musical band and a girl of his choice become his wife .
The life was good
Unfortunately the curse if the Belgians followed him .The Rwanda was getting devided on racial lines between the majority Hutu and minority Tutsi .The division between hutus and Tutsi were sown by the Belgians during the time if their colonalism
The hutus wanted to get rid of the Tutsi question once and for all .
The country was into civil war .
In the pretext of the killing of their then Hutu president in a plane crash ,the extermination of the Tutsi tribe was carried out .
The 100 days were horrible .
In the cities and the villages the army had prepared the list of Tutsi population to be killed either by bullet or by matchets or simply by hammering on the head .
The Belgians had made the identification easy by the identification paper clearly stating the tribe they are into .
The hutu racial gang ,interhamwe, came to the doors of Buleri and asked for the snake .
His wife
He can do nothing to save her life .She was a Tutsi
They started hitting her ....
He simply bribed the gang with dollars So that they will kill her with a bullet than matchets or clubbing .
Less pain more gain .
They killed her with a bullet .
He returned to Congo
The Hutu extremists have been dislodged by the Tutsi regime by then .They too returned the jungles of Congo .
The death of his beloved wife and the helplessness of the internal strife make him to forgive his tormenters
He joined the UN mission in Congo which did not have the mandate to involve in the war that was raging in Congo for no logic .He was assigned the job of clearing the dead bodies of the war ,the bodies of his own brethren .
He lost the apetate to draw the big salary of 4500 dollars of pittance.
He resigned.
And become a contented human being of non vengeance
The dictator Mobutu Seso Seko has ended .
New players came with the same tactic of their earlier tormenters
The once revolutionary Laurent Kabila
His son Joseph Kabila
The Congo was ruining inside and getting dirt poorer with its first ,second or third world wars of Africa .
The minerals were getting siphoned off by the same Europeans and the Westerners and the people of the republic had their hands full of vengeance ,bombs ,killings and pity life ....
The human rights violators of africa were becoming the so called human rights protectors in their sacred lands of Europe and America ...
During the course of his wretched life of direction less he found a woman in a bar sipping a bear .
He felt she was for him for the rest of his life .
He asked her to be with him for the rest of his life
She was flummoxed and asked him why not to know more about her ....
He told not necessary
He was in a kind of Nirvana ...
The sacred path of life.
They built a home and made a life of togetherness ..
He become the centre point of the life of the children from his first wife and the new wife
Living very beautiful and contented ...
She had the life as a Sex Worker before this contented life .
He had become a Fixer in his new life ...
